FEDEZ LASCIA SIAE E SI AFFIDA A SOUNDREEF PER RACCOLTA DIRITTI D’AUTORE.

L’accordo arriva anche in virtù di una direttiva UE (Barnier) che liberalizza la raccolta dei diritti d’autore.

 

Il rapper e produttore discografico Fedez lascia SIAE (Società Italiana Autori Editori) e si affida a Soundreef per la raccolta dei suoi diritti d’autore. L’accordo è stato firmato a Milano tra lo stesso cantante e l’amministratore delegato di Soundreef, Davide D’Atri. Fedez, che è in testa alla classifica 2015 dei concerti con più biglietti venduti, ha incaricato di riscuotere i suoi proventi musicali Soundreef, che lo scorso 18 marzo è stata riconosciuta ufficialmente in Inghilterra per effettuare la raccolta dei diritti di autore.

“Quella di Federico – commenta Davide D’Atri, fondatore e amministratore delegato di Soundreef - è una scelta coraggiosa ma anche di innovazione, dettata dalla voglia di cambiare il sistema che garantisce i più forti. La rivoluzione digitale non poteva che travolgere i monopoli che ancora resistono nel nostro Paese assisteremo presto a un effetto domino”. “Ho scoperto Soundreef - racconta il cantautore rap Fedez - perché sono appassionato di start up e in più si occupa di un contenuto che mi riguarda direttamente. Ho scelto di affidarmi a loro per la raccolta dei miei diritti d’autore perché voglio sostenere chi fa della trasparenza e della meritocrazia un valore fondante”.

Lo scorso 10 aprile doveva essere recepita la direttiva Barnier dell’Unione Europea (n. 26 del 2014) che sancisce l’apertura del mercato della raccolta e gestione dei diritti d’autore sulle opere musicali a operatori privati che nella UE vale circa 5 miliardi di euro.

Mentre in molti Paesi opera più di una società in concorrenza per la gestione dei diritti, il percorso istituzionale nel nostro Paese è ancora all’inizio dell’esame parlamentare e per sollecitare il recepimento delle disposizioni europee, Soundreef e oltre 300 fra imprenditori e investitori hanno consegnato una lettera al Presidente del Consiglio Matteo Renzi.

 Nella missiva sono illustrate le ricadute positive (nuovi posti di lavoro e innovazione del settore) della liberalizzazione e della fine del monopolio SIAE, che favorisce solo “vecchi privilegi e rendite di posizione”. Ciascun autore potrebbe affidare la gestione dei propri diritti d’autore a qualsiasi società autorizzata, a prescindere dal Paese di residenza. Con l’utilizzo di sistemi digitali si riducono drasticamente i tempi di rendicontazione e pagamento dei compensi per gli autori, dall’attuale media di 12/24 mesi a quella di una o più settimane. Le somme vengono determinate in maniera puntuale e precisa e non forfettaria come previsto dall’attuale sistema utilizzato dalla SIAE. Il 75% dei concertini viene pagato a campione. “Soundreef – spiega Davide D’Atri – rendiconta le utilizzazioni entro 7 giorni dal concerto e paga le royalty entro 90 giorni dal concerto, sia per il nazionale che per l’internazionale. La nostra rendicontazione è analitica al 100%. Ciò che viene suonato viene pagato e gli utenti attraverso l’account online possono verificare in tempo reale come e quando hanno guadagnato”. La determinazione puntuale e digitale dei compensi favorirebbe soprattutto i giovani autori, che attualmente non riescono a recuperare neppure le quote di iscrizione a SIAE. Il 60% degli iscritti non recupera nemmeno la quota d’iscrizione. Lo statuto della Società Italiana Autori ed Editori, infatti, attribuisce agli iscritti tanti diritti di voto quanti sono gli euro incassati come diritti d’autore.

Con questo meccanismo tutte le decisioni (anche quelle sulla ripartizione dei diritti) sono prese dagli autori ‘più ricchi’, obbligando gli emergenti e quindi la maggior parte degli iscritti (80 mila in tutto) a subirne le scelte.
